2 months later

So, its been a while since I've updated. To be honest the reason is laziness. For a while my focus and study went downhill.

My drawings really disappointed me for a while too. Now I feel like I'm getting back on track, I feeling like a serious improvement is taking place. Also I'm getting more confident with my work, so i will be updating with a lot of school work, added on to a lot of personal work. Aw yee

Thanksgiving Weekend Update

I am going to be updating my blog with a massive amount of work in the next couple days. Its basically the accumulation of assignments and personal artwork that have built up from the first month of animation. All packed onto one fun weekend of scanning and cleaning up drawings.

from sketches to Name Slate

Been doing a lot of sketching lately. A lot of the time in different styles to get out of my comfort zone. Earlier today i drew a character I made when i was younger, and the way i drew it blew my mind, considering it was so different from the way i usually draw. Later on in the night, I'm at Jack Astors with a couple of my buddies, thinking of some old characters I had from when i was little. Decided to draw one on the paper table cloth with crayons..In that same style I mentioned earlier ... I LOVED IT!! After that the concept just snowballed and now a couple of them are gonna be the stars of my Name Slate for my digital tools class. I think theres a lot of potential here.

1st day of ANIMATION

So i had my first character design class today, We were told to draw a character, simple enough to animate for our next class, I did a couple sketches, but this is my favorite one, i think this is the one I'm going with.

I shall name him Gekk-OH!

Last day of summer...

Okay its 1:14am...technically not summer anymore anyways, but hey got some nice sketches done! I'm taking a short break off my comic "Divine Rebirth" and going back to work on my comic about the superhero angel *The White Phantom" <-- working name

Here's a concept sketch of the main character in superhero form, I'm trying a more DC comic style approach on it.

Sketching...good timess

The past couple days seem to be pretty eventful, got some post-able sketches to display. A notable sketch of Leo's rival Virgil is shown, and some refinement of my character Lord Aleron Magnus for my comic Divine Rebirth.

Good direction?

To me this painting is done, kinda don't know what else to do with it. It is only a test, and forced me to learn a lot.

Feedback is appreciated, please tell me if I'm going in the right direction with this piece.

Been working on a simpler version of the character model so its easier to animate later. to I decided to try to do a cell shaded colour test. Although its still not finished, it was a good opportunity to log my progress. Feedback is definitely appreciated on this one.

upcoming work

I've been trying to work on concepts for "Divine Rebirth" but I've also been working. Having a job at a moving company is very time consuming. Any-who, new stuff is in the works, from more refined versions of the main characters, to some speed/matte paintings of environments in their world.

You guys can expect a couple drawings tonight at the soonest.
